Elegant Forest Wedding

An idyllic getaway wedding, only a couple hours outside Toronto, Sydenham Ridge offers the beauty of a forest wedding, a rustic barn reception, and cabins on the premise for getting ready.

The bride wore a stunning Wona Concept Dress and YSL shoes that Carrie Bradshaw would have stopped dead in her tracks for.

M + D combined their first look with private vows, both witty and emotional after over a decade of being together. Their ceremony then took place in what can only be described as a forest nook straight out of a fairytale, with baby’s breath cascading through the trees, and warm August sunlight pouring through.

After a cocktail hour complete with a food truck (of course) they entered their reception with an incredible first dance that almost had everyone else on their toes ready to join in.

The highlight of the reception for me was that Mel - an avid and passionate salsa dancer - led her guests, along with some friends, in a salsa lesson that truly had the energy of the place at an all time high.
