Frequently Asked Questions:

Lapinou Wedding Toronto
  • I truly believe there is no good wedding photography without a photographer that can connect to humans on a deeper level. As a person, I am emotive, warm, funny, chatty and helpful. I've been told that I infuse a sense of calm. I read people, and connecting with them is paramount in my telling their stories.

  • I run my business out of the heart of downtown Toronto, and travel everywhere from Muskoka, Prince Edward County, Niagara, as well as internationally. Most recently: New York, San Francisco, San Diego, and Mexico. My travel bucket list is long, so please help me check things off.

  • I sure do. In fact, I began shooting with analog film cameras when I was only 13. With the recent resurgence of film appreciation in this industry, it is now a staple in my storytelling. I love everything it stands for: nostalgia and imperfect beauty. I also feel it is important to not shoot film for the sake of a trend. You don't need bad film (sadly, also common in the industry). It should add something to your day it didn't have before.

  • I've been a photographer for over a decade, specialising in weddings since 2016. As of 2024, I've shot almost 200 weddings! And due to post-secondary education, I am trained and experienced in the crucial technical aspects and creative pillars of photography that allow me to provide consistently high quality work.

  • Your finish gallery is ready ~8-10 weeks after your wedding, and ~3 weeks for engagements or smaller sessions. I typically ending up sending about 100 edited photos per hour of shooting, which can take a little while to attentively and artfully edit.

  • For every wedding I carry my two Nikon camera bodies, countless batteries, memory cards, their backups, an external flash, and 3 prime portrait lenses. Everything gets backed up multiple times, and cards are not cleared until your wedding is fully delivered.

  • For 99% of cases, it's an enthusiastic no. I am hired me to take pictures AND edit them. I would never give you the photography equivalent of an uncooked chicken, when you paid for a professional to cook it to perfection for you.

  • Part of my job is to guide you through the inevitable weirdness of being a photography subject. However, please know that for me to provide you with the best end result possible, it's a symbiotic relationship. Leaning in, open-mindedness, and trust are priorities to do so.

  • First step is a virtual meeting to ensure that we are a good fit for each other. After that, a signed contract and a 25% non-refundable deposit.
