Steamwhistle Brewing Wedding / Ariana + Greg

Steamwhistle Brewery by the waterfront is one of my favourite wedding venues in the city. While it can be a heavily populated area during certain times of the year (hello, Jays fans!) inside is a wonderfully versatile space, and being just a 5-10 minute walk from the water is a major bonus. Within this one venue are endless possibilities for decor as well as portraits in the neighbourhood, everywhere you look there’s a new unique angle that makes it easy to get creative.

Greg and Ariana are truly best friends - you might even recognise Greg Langstaff from his fantastically helpful and popular TikTok videos! They now work together and life has taken them down some really exciting paths the last couple years, like living in Hawaii for a few months while working remotely. They also infused some incredibly special details into their day, like the bride’s dress that was handmade by her Nonna., aspecial touch that I rarely ever get to see.

A stand out moment from A + G’s day were the unique weather conditions due to the wildfires at the time, it made for some really unique lighting, exaggerating sun flares and creating a pink-y sky during sunset. Unfortunate circumstances that yielded results that we won’t really be able to replicate again. I also almost forget that when this couple booked with me, they had an entirely different date and venue. A spot we really all were excited to shoot at. Sadly, that venue got bought out and the remaining 2023 weddings were canceled. Thankfully a new wedding daywas found (hurrary!) and otherwise ran so smoothly, especially with the help of Dream Weaver events and one of my favourite officiants, Francesca. We were even able to walk down by the waterfront to commemorate how the couple lived in Queen’s Quay not long ago and this used to be their neighbourhood! So it was simply meant to be. All this only a 10 minute drive from my apartment - another great excuse to get married at Steamwhistle ;)
