The Brighthouse Farm PEC Wedding

I can’t tell you how elated I was to finally photograph at The Brighthouse Farm in Prince Edward County. Not only that, but to be photographing Kirsten and Graiden there (two of my favourite clients of all time) was a dream.

When this couple initially inquired with me, The Brighthouse was still a relatively new venue, not that you would be able tell. Because in that time, it had already garnered impressive attention as one of PEC’s newest hotspots. They have carved out a corner of the wedding venue market that feels like the ultimate 2000’s rom-com style wedding experience. It can be country chic, elegant, modern, rustic, romantic, whatever their clients choose to do with the space only elevates its already existing charm. And I knew this wedding this meant to be - I shared with the couple on our initial phone meeting that I had been eagerly awaiting to photograph this venue not just because of what it looked like, but it meant to reuniting with the owners, who happen to be childhood friends of my partner. Win/win! In fact, I remember vividly chatting with one of the owners, Nat, pre-pandemic, and likely over beers, about how they were about to turn their already wildly gorgeous PEC AirBnb rental into a wedding venue. I knew it was destined for success from the very beginning.

But besides the location, this day was filled with the warmest and loveliest celebration. Kirsten and Graiden have consistently been a complete joy to photograph. I think we should also address that Kirsten totally looks like a young Taylor Swift. But regardless, they’re affectionate, kind, and so easy to connect with. Muses 4 life!

Our incredible team of vendors helped the day run smoothly and beautifully. Shout out to everyone at TBF, and Samantha our coordinator for being a champion and insisting nothing was going to stand in the way of us sneaking out for the sunset session of our dreams LOL. From the good company, the refurbished farmhouse, perfect summer weather, gorgeous details, golden hour reception, everything was top to bottom perfection. I’d do it again every weekend in a heartbeat if I could (even it were further than the 2+ hour drive)
