Dan + Stella / Romantic Toronto Beach Portraits

Dan and Stella. 1 hour with them and a ‘totally creative/whatever we feel like shooting’ kind of vibe was food for the soul this day. I knew they would be up for getting artsy as well as available, being that Stella and I went to photography school together, AND her partner actually lived in my building at this time LOL. So that’s a solid recipe for a fun afternoon.

I had a specific vision in mind. Rain was on the forecast for 3 days straight in Toronto that week. But it was also August. So, bingo, I wanted to shoot at a beach in the rain. Did that happen? No. Because weather apps are hardly reliable!! Did it rain like 30 minutes after getting home? You bet it did! But the magic we did create was way, way better.

These two are just bursting with love for each other, (as of a couple months ago, they’re ENGAGED!) and I’m so thankful I got to spend this day being their little fan girl. The sunshine was such a pleasant surprise and I think this set may be some of my favourite images I’ve ever taken. It took all my strength to resist plastering them on every corner of my website…but as you can see, I didn’t resist that much ;) They’re stars, what can I say.
