Christian + Alyssa / Italy-Inspired Backyard Hamilton Wedding

When Alyssa and Christian first contacted me, they mentioned how their original dream wedding was one set in Italy. Despite the changing of plans due to the pandemic, these two infused as much of their Italian and Portuguese background into their day as they could. My most favourite detail was the citrus fruits sprinkled along their colourful dining tables, almost like a still-life painting, well, came to life.

These two opted to use more of their photography coverage for the event itself rather than the getting ready photos. A great example that you don’t always need to structure your day the way you think you need to! They even staggered their reception in two groups - their immediate family, followed but their friends later in the evening. A wedding day have whatever flow you like! I also loved that their wedding party just consisted of each of their respective 1 siblings, and their doggo Winnie (can’t go wrong with a dog groomsman) who was every guests best friend throughout the evening. This meant more time for mingling with their friends, and less time on wedding party portraits.

Alyssa and Christian truly showcased how amazing and creative a backyard wedding can be; whether it’s your plan A, or plan C. The spread of food was amazing, the drinks flowing, and the music, dancing and laughter rang through the air until long after I left, I’m sure. Major heart-eyes for these two. Now I wish I could go back in time and dive into that charcuterie board again.
